The Princess Sonnet
There was a time I was always alone.
But nothing has changed, and I felt grotesque
Hearing the mobile phone you didn't own
Ringing loudly upon your writing desk.
So I kept my peace and my fears concealed
Through the lies, the truths, and the myths of you.
I sowed the whirlwind and now here's my yield,
Your words become a sudden bitch's brew.
When you propelled me downwards, my cheeks wet,
Through an office of strangers out to hide
In the little girls' room to cry and yet
Did I turn to return your best broadside?
But I'll take the comfort and the amends,
Since you're the one who falls out with your friends.
